Who pays:
In 1940, 159.4 payers paid for each SS beneficiary.
In 1950, 16.5 payers paid for each SS beneficiary.
In 1970, 3.7 payers paid for each SS beneficiary.
In 2020, 2.8 payees paid for each SS beneficiary.
