Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

He had won that brawl last year and he stands now alert over a couple of mares that had fallen into the reaches of the Lagoon men, only just come into his own really. He had been a big youth, but he’d only now started filling in the large hooves and long legs that brought him uncomfortably tall in comparison to many around him.

His gold flashing black hide catches the semi-tropical sun through the nearly jungle canopy - something between bayou and tropical rainforest. Humidity aside, he still shone with the unusual shine to his golden-peeking hide. His shudders and then shakes himself of the odd sensation as he breaks past the spanish moss and stepped further into the more tropical clearing with its large fronds and less squishy earth.

He had kept them away from the most swampy of the territory, but he wondered if today wasn’t a good day to go visit the beaches of the Lagoon’s namesake. At least the barrier reef and shallow atoll would keep the sharks away. "Ladies, children, I think today will be a traveling day - we will go to the Lagoon and camp there for a day or two." The winter in the lagoon towards the south was very much warmer anyhow. The ocean would be brisk, the sun would be warm and bright, and the land to the southwest would be prime with a lack of sucking traps to pull them under.
