Mixed feelings about the Ra surfaced as she waits for Vanya's answer. Ra completely denied being her father just as Frey had. Mother swears it was possible for all of them to be her dad. Devi doesn't want to talk to Ra just see if he was okay. If he was alive and well there was nothing to wonder about. He made his choice when she was young, as did the others. Only her true fathers would meet her future foals. Vanya questions his name which makes her think the mare knows him. Devi was curious just how much Vanya knew of Ra. She wasn't about to ask that of her though.
Vanya says he was alive and Devi sighs. Her head nods once before Vanya reveals his position. "Second to a King, huh," She mumbles. Devi vaugly remembers him being a second when mother had brought her to the Hills as well. It wasn't a King who came to his aid, but a mare. She kind of remembers mother hating the mare for something she said. It didn't matter now since that Queen seems to be gone if a King has now taken her place. Did any of them really matter anymore? The ones who have stuck by her are her true family. Only they matter. Her eyes shift over the Desert.
She hasn't seen another soul aside from Vanya so she wonders if the mare was just beginning her herd. "So do you have this place all to yourself?" She was curious if this Queen was building her own empire or if a stallion pulls her strings. Vanya says she stole her because she found her interesting, but Devi got the feeling there was more to the story. Her eyes continue to look around, even behind her once to find any clues. Any enemy of her mother maybe? But Parvati had not acted like she knew the mare.
