Just when she thinks its a new chapter in her life, that it’s time to move forward, the pages flip back. Lace had just lowered her head and begun to graze when she heard hoof steps getting closer. They weren’t racing towards her, so she took her time raising her head. Only, her name flitted through her ears before she turned to look at the stranger. Making the spotted mare pause, unsure if she believed her ears, before she turned to lay her eyes on the grey stallion that had been filling her mind. “I-Ironclad?” She stuttered out his name in shock. All this time she had been looking for him, and as soon as she stopped, here he was.
He had thought he had lost her forever, but wasn’t it his fault they had been separated? Why they were here again, instead of nestled safely on the main land away from all this hate and strife? Lace can’t remember the vivid details of the night they came here. Only that it had been stormy, a fools errand to enter the waters, and yet he had. So she had too.
Pinned her ears, the spotted mare stomped a front hoof and snapped her tail in aggravation. “Where the hell have you been?! I’ve looked all over for you!” She snapped, stepping closer to his grey figure. Instead of receiving the claiming bite as was usual of the commons, Lace places one on Ironclad’s shoulder instead. As if she were here to drag him off in her clutches, rather than her being trapped in his. “Don’t you ever think about doing that again!” The pony mare chided, though her temper would be short lived. After she was sure she had punished him for disappearing, she wouldn’t be able to help herself from sinking into his embrace. It was hard not to do it now. Replies:
