My second leg home today should have been 3.5 hours downhill, it turned out to be 6.5hrs. About 3 miles from the Florida state line I-95 was suddenly totally shutdown. I sat with the truck turned off for nearly an hour. Then attempted to head west through Kingsland but so did everyone else and the whole town got overwhelmed & shutdown. I then doubled back north on I-95 for 5 miles to exit 7, the Kingsland traffic was backed up all the way to that exit on two different back roads. I had to get back on I-95 and head another 13 miles north and head west through the Okefenokee swamps for 30 miles and then head south 35 miles to I-10 and the head west again for home.
The trip home kinda topped off a wonderful week... Replies:
