"¡Suficiente! Realmente he tenido suficiente, Féroce.Enough! I've truly had enough, Féroce." Despite the harsh, angry bark of his mother's words, the young stallion only eyed her contemplatively. Weathering Switch's tides of anger was a skill he had been forced to master as a boy, torn between two worlds, two fathers, two lands. She was always angry, it was simply a matter of deciphering which flavor of angry.

Today, it was sad-angry.

The signs of it were subtle, but there for those that knew her, and if anyone were to know Switch, it would be her babies. "So go, mamá," he'd responded placidly, despite the reflected pain in his eyes, the lingering anger for the men she loved that also loved to leave her behind. Both of his fathers had disappeared - again - and he could see how much their absence ate at her heart. Being here with Tina and her babies was one thing, but watching Tina find affection in a man only seemed to remind Switch of what she'd lost, and the sleek black stallion hated seeing her so sad. "I will watch over la familia. Just go."

And so she had.

The tears she shed were washed away by the ocean, a fact she was strangely grateful for as she marched matter-of-factly up the Common's shore. She was all business, all intention despite having no destination. And so, when she realized that there was nowhere to go in the Commons with her death march, she began to circle it instead, stomping her anger and pain into a trail of crescent half-moons that were far deeper than her slender figure might suggest.
