To some degree, Tyr does not believe that Psychedelic will hold true to his end of the deal. So, when the shape of Faolain’s face, along with their son’s, comes into view; he can hardly trust it. Stopping his slow march across the sand, he watches as they get closer, and finally accepts the truth when they step out of the surf and towards him standing on the beach. The hefty stallion lets out a low rumbling nicker of greeting, his golden ears tipped forward as a happy expression manages to make its way onto his face. It’s not his first time to greet a child of his after its birth, and he lowers his head and extends his nose to the colt to exchange breaths in encouragement.
“It’s good to see you both home.” he said proudly, lifting his head and letting his two-toned gaze look away from the handsome colored colt to the midnight painted mare. “You must be exhausted after the swim.” And whatever else she had faced while in the Lagoon. Tyr had hoped during her imprisonment there, the dark mare had been able to hide away from whatever hate he had left there. Jigsaw bringing up the past had managed to stay in the back of his mind, always quietly nagging at him, wondering if Faolain was paying for his sins. “We can meet later for a proper introduction.” Tyr promised the colt, briefly glancing to him again.
It was not the warm reunion like he had with Kvothe, or the gentle touches he shared with Oswin when they would meet for Peak and Lagoon business. Tyr would offer the comfort of embrace, and affection, if Faolain desired it. The security of protection if she requested he stay with them while she rested. But they did not share the same relationship that he did with the other mares, and he would not try to give it where he thought it was not wanted.
