No, the PGA tour is not history, it will continue as is under the proposed new for profit entity to be formed by the Tour and the PIF, the formal agreement of which has not yet been finalized. Per the initial framework agreement LIV will also operate under the same for profit corporation.
The Tour’s Policy Board sets the direction for the Tour and includes a small number of elected/selected players to advise Tour management and maintain the ‘illusion” that it’s a member run organization. It has always been a part of the Tour framework.
