TURNING MEN INTO monsters claim

In the shadows of the trees, nestled along the border of the Lagoon and the Commons, Vadim watched the open stretch of land with half-open eyes. Plenty had passed him since he had taken up this spot. Whether they just refused to acknowledge him, or hadn’t noticed him, the Lagoon stallion didn’t care. He was on the verge of a nap, his thick coat keeping him warm against the cold winter air, when movement caught his attention. Ears perking, his green gaze followed a stranger that emerged from the waters along the shore. By the glint in their eye, as he had come to know well, they were new to the Crossing, or to the Islands all together. At first, Vadim didn’t plan on moving, but as the stallion took up a nice spot to rest, he couldn’t help himself.

The large stallion picked his way from the brush and out into the open grasses, crossing them at an ambling walk, until he reached the tree the stallion was standing under. The stranger wasn’t small by any means, but next to Vadim’s stature, he did. “Don’t worry, I have the perfect place for you.” the pale stallion greeted, a smirk tugging at the edge of his dark lips. Although stallions weren’t usually what Vadim picked to take back home, this one he would. If he was going to win the next election, it couldn’t be just mares he brought back to irritate Psychedelic with. “What’s your name?” he asked, knowing he should show some form of manners, even if it was just a front.
