give me moonlight when I'm leaving;

Will it ever be this way again? The moon? "I do not know," he murmurs, his face turned towards the light, though he steals glances of his beautiful red companion from beneath his forelock. Her hair is lovely in the light, and he would tell her so, but he does not wish to make her uncomfortable.

"My name is Arroyo," he offers, and he thinks of adding "of the Harbor" but the formality seems silly. He is of the Islands now, having lived nomadically for some time - finding a home wherever suits him. The only place he has not spent any considerable amount of time has been Salem, though perhaps one day that will change. "May I know yours?" he asks, hopeful.

"I am not native to these Islands, but I have made a home here. I live in the Harbor on Atlantis now with my family." His heart swells to say those words. Aventuras and Matoskah and Deirdre. They are his family. He is hopeful that this red mare will want to be a part of it as well.

"Where are you from?" he asks easily, his eyes curious. They all have stories, and he would hear hers if she would tell it. When he came to the Islands he had been newly chased from his herd, striking out on his own. It was not all that long ago, to tell the truth, though since the birth of his son, Matoskah, his heart has changed in some ways from the boy that washed up on the beaches of the Crossing.

Will they ever be this way again? New to the Islands? Perhaps not, but there will still be wonder - he is sure.
