We're getting roasted down here like a holiday turkey! Heat index at St. Simons Island (just over the Georgia state line) had a heat index yesterday of 121! 121!! Yoahzah!
I've never seen temps like that down here before (that I can remember). I walked around spraying weeds yesterday for maybe 15 minutes and had to change clothes!
We've had heat indexes in the teens for weeks down here, we hit 111 yesterday and Hiney told me they hit 115 down near Orlando.
To give you an idea of how hot it is here, when we all melted at Moorland, coming in on our knees, the heat index was only 108.
Work crews down here are going to work at 630am to try and beat the heat. No rain, no clouds, no breezes, just breath taking heat... Replies:
