It funny that the first thing I thought of was old NFL policy and I mean old. Local game we’re not televised in local markets. So in my early DC years you never saw home games. The die hard fans would drive down to Fredericksburg, Va. and get a motel room to watch the game. The policy changed shortly after that where sold out games could be televised.

I’m sure the sports bar have a work around for ESPN and other channel blackout. A wings and beer tab would be $40 for a Panthers game - I don’t feel that strongly about watching they play.
