Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

TURNING MEN INTO monsters

The sun had set since Rafe had gone, and yet Vadim remained in the same spot. As if his hooves were rooted to the wet soil. Patience has never been his strong suit, but he is doing his best to display it now. Certain he can outwait Psych in coming back to face the consequences of what he has done. Surely the Lagoon Boss could not stay away from his castle for too long, and still hold his crown?

Among the musk of men, it is a sweat, familiar perfume that breaks the never-ending wait. Head turning, ears perking, Vadim is surprised to see the feminine figure of Arsinoe slip out of the shadows that the moon now cast. What was she doing here? If not for his clouding thoughts, he might have realized the all too soon visit from the painted mare after her father’s appearance. But the young stallion does not. Instead, much like he had done with Sarama, he is confused and yet delighted for someone to look at him, to speak to him as if he is not a monster. To not spit disdain and hate at him for the things he hadn’t done, and for the things he had done.

“This place is not for you.” he said in a low rumbling nicker of greeting. Although Vadim had possessively hoarded mares here, they had mostly been for the sake of ruining Psych’s day. To put such female presence in what should only be a male’s home. He had given much the same thought to Arsinoe, if not for the united front that had greeted him on his last visit.

“A swim?” he asked in a bewildered manner, but the stallion takes a step towards her all the same. “Okay” Vadim murmured in agreement, as if bewitched by the glow upon her feminine face and gentle words that lured him willingly from his home. Without a second thought, Vadim left behind his own safety he had been trying to bait Psych with, and followed Arsinoe from the Lagoon and into the moonlit waves.
