Quiet一

The world had gone terribly quiet since her mother had gone and it was positively deafened when her twin sister vanished. No life or love existed.

Saoirse stared at birds to try and understand how they could sing. How they could make music when there was no happiness left. Her life felt like a series of conditions. Never her choice but somehow she was always tangled up in some sort of chaos. It was her only option to come find her half-sister once more, the only true family the little golden mare had on the islands to her knowledge.

When she sees Róisín come down from the paths, her eyes glitter with sparks of hope. It was easy to forget there was goodness still. The splotched mare lifts her chin in a delicate gesture and when he sister closes in, Saoirse accepts the hug offered her一returns it with all her might, breathing in the scent of familiar for the first time in ages.

“I have been well,” she manages, emotion welling up her throat. She looks over the dun mare with a soft smile. They had led different lives but they were still blood. “No, Róisín. I have been off on my own sort of journey.”

Maybe she could convince Róisín to join her in Paradise. She pushes the thought away quickly and stamps her hoof against the ground. “I live in Paradise now, sister. I have my own little band as Deputy and一”

“Well, there I give shelter to those who need it and work to heal wounds. I care for orphaned foals and I make sure everyone is safe.” Soairse concludes with a little nod, unsure how the other might feel about her new found passion in life.

Saoirse tilts her head, her eyes surveying the dun gently. “And what about you? What has become of my dear sister?”
