Asphara

Mare - Thoroughbred - Chestnut - 15.3hh - Frozen Mist

The red mare eyed her child, her body in pain and exhaustion lingering in her system with the fear. What had she just done? Asphara did not know the first thing of raising foals and she stared at this long legged creature like it was about to eat her. A foal, one she could play with, was fine. One that came from her and was still wet with not being cleaned had her confused. She was not sure entirely what to do, but she knew there was something she was supposed to do. Were foals supposed to still be wet when they tried to stand or were they supposed to be dry and like actually moving?

Hearing hooves on the ground, Asphara faintly turned her head to set her blue eye upon a yearling coming her direction, but she still put most of her focus on the little pile of ick before her. It was shaking its head now, almost snorting up liquid. Asphara’s skin crawled at the wet sounds coming from the thing, but she did not know what to do with it. How was she supposed to take care of something that was coughing just being in the normal air? Was she supposed to do something to help this creature get up or what?

Listening to the yearling's voice, Asphara turned to him a bit more. “I think we all start out that small? But what the heck am I supposed to do with it?” Asphara, at this point in time, did not care if she had to ask a rock what she was supposed to do. She was fresh on this whole journey and it was freaking her out? “What am I supposed to do with it? DO I name it?” Goodness, her voice was strained as she went back to eyeing her own child. What was she going to do with this? Heaving a sigh, she stomped her feet in unease and worry that she was about to kill a newborn pile of slime and mucus. “My name is Asphara, just in case you didn't know it yet.”

Finally, her ears took in his last question. “Honestly, my instincts told me to come all the way out here, but I do not really know why I am so far away from everyone.” Asphara was certainly a distance away from the herd and if she were to call for any help, would they hear her? Shaking that thought away, she went back to the yearling. She really hoped he would be able to help her, even if it was odd for a yearling to be helping with foal care.
