Over the past five years, the NFL has tried everything they can think of to get more female viewers for their TV games. They have added female announcers, female umpires and female coaches into NFL TV games.
Whether or not those efforts have gained them any new female viewers, I don’t know, but the Swift/Kelce romance has really drawn them:
“NBC's audience for the (Sunday night) game peaked at 29 million viewers, including an increase of about 2 million female viewers.”
