I've been a history fan for many years. US and World History. Music, politics, culture.
I follow many political sites, collect lots of geographical photos of history and distant places. I was simply browsing a "Remembering the 1960s" with lots of old movie and TV photos, one was a meme of 1967. I wasn't in radio yet but not long after that I WAS and 1967 was prime oldies, by 1969 so I played most all of them as a deejay.
When my dad was in act IV of his life at a nursing home, I brought tapes of the 40s and played them at lunchtime for the Geritol for Lunch bunch. Big bands, swing, vocals of those who were born abt a hundred years ago. (Both my pts were born in 1923--exactly 100 yrs ago.) Maybe you have no respect for history, the movies and music, I do. Do you feel the need to laugh at old folks?
That's pretty arrogant of you, if that's so. I remember being a boomer and we belittled people our parents age, but that's what teenagers do.

Who ARE you, or are you too embarrassed to reveal yourself? The word I use for that state of mind is 'puerile', from the Latin. Look it up. Replies: There have been no replies.
