PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

The one who answers her is not her trainer Ysabel, but a woman she had been told the description of. Khar’pern. Beautiful and rose colored like her own mother, though with far less white. Her blue eyes do not turn away from the eye contact, but she hasn’t the backbone to challenge or seem defiant outside her inborn knowledge she was a princess and that she would one day be in charge [with her husband] of the Dunes as a whole.

"I have heard of you from Ysabel, I am Nashira." she says, voice and expression too open to seem wise to appoint her to a politician’s place. She had always been too see-through for deceit. "You seem to have a purpose that most strangers lack. I can assume you are here of your own free will?" She laughs, bright and full of the amusement that the inferred struggles had birthed in her.

"My elder sister was taken from my father by force. She stayed with her captives, as they were our ancestral family, to free my father from being tortured in a far worse form of that captivity." She sounds very casual about what must have been a traumatic family memory, proving how long she had lived with such reality in her life. "My father might push me to do things, but he only does that when it is in the best interest of myself or our People. The Sadim is traditional, but we are not archaic or backwards." She tilts her head, looking out at the world around them.

"He wants me to be able to defend the people who will one day call me Mira… at least as long as my sister is not freed from her self-imposed servitude. It is not an unwise thing to prepare for what I will possibly face." She feels a fly shake the flesh of her shoulder and she extends the action down the whole rest of her body. "I am not powerful or used to fighting, but I must be able to at least defend myself if I wish to rule, right?"
