Re(3): Grandma's Office Catering

I dont' know shit abt it but have worked for a company that used Grandma's and was next door for a time at a kitchen of theirs.

Never seen a major corporation specialize in small ofc catering, so I presume theres demand for restaurants with high capacity to cater to the office crowd. In town, there's Kris Cakes, however its spelled. Thats local.

Ma and pa businesses are high risk because they're so often undercapitalized and can't survive til business picks up, can't afford the best locations, and you presume, dont have the buying power to compete with the franchises and chains that do.

I see a lot of shoppers at grocery store buying big quantities of soda and snacks so I presume they pay grocery store prices for stuff they resell. Small outfits come and go..its sad to see people burn up their retirement nesteggs trying to open a small business.

Sorry for them, but I buy based on price and availability and now with the internet, I get what I want without driving all over town to find what can be delivered here in 3 days!

Its a rare small business that can corner a market but when I find one, yup, I'm pretty loyal to them, but it's usually about food or contract construction svcs, not retail or hardware. They just don't have the choices or the prices to compete.
