Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

TURNING MEN INTO monsters

With every question she asks, Vadim can feel the answers lingering on his tongue, choking away the sound of his voice. He doesn’t want to admit to the things he has done. Especially now, as his anger has begun to wane being away from the Lagoon, and he was beginning to connect with the stallion he had once been. The softer part of Vadim growing stronger and tucking away the bitter boy who hated how his home had been so drastically changed.

Vadim can’t help but keep silent, looking on at Mercury as she expects an answer. But then she moves, tucking herself against his chest, and Vadim closes his eyes for a few seconds. Soaking in the feel of her affectionate touch, and that she hadn’t continued to ask him questions. What he had put her through, what he had put their daughter through, it wasn’t fair for either of them. Yet, his mind can’t help but drift to Miriella for a split second. At least Mercury still had her daughter.

“I…. don’t know if this is home anymore.” Vadim admitted, his voice barely more than a whisper. Hesitation held back the stallion’s words for a few moments, before he spot again. “The Lagoon is quiet…. We should gather Snap and….” And… what? He couldn’t raid her. Ears tipping back briefly, he was once again frustrated with his situation before letting them flick forward again. Arsinoe said she would help, now was the time to see if that was true. “Will you go to Salem with me?”
