Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Nahawi
Stallion - Kiger Mustang - 16.2hh - Frozen Mist

Silence had cursed the Lagoon for a long time. Its debilitating ways caused a red dun creature to lurk slowly through the land. Scents were dull, speaking of herd members hiding away from the pain that had been inflicted. Nahawi did not like others hiding, but there was a different scent that suddenly talked upon the wind and into his nostrils. Flaring their oval shape, Nahawi pulled in the scent of a stallion upon the wind. He was already dealing with Fall and the urge for more, but the beast inside did not like what was coming his direction. This might be a home for nomad stallions, but with the hierarchy in disarray he did not wish for new blood to come taint things.

Arching his neck, Nahawi continued to pull scents through his nostrils before finally the new scent sent his brain into overdrive. The stallion could not handle the urge to face this creature as his skin crawled. There was a bad feeling on his lips, but he did not wish to over step in the wrong direction just yet. Shaking out his frame, Nahawi un-arched his neck and began to walk to this new creature. He wanted to meet this horse before he got to far from Nahawi to go without running. The Lagoon was his home and he was not about to lose it to some stranger that was from scent alone not from here entirely.

Stepping from the Lagoon shadows and into the open, Nahawi set his eyes upon a large young stallion. The red duns ears faintly pinned as a rumbling nicker escaped his vibrating chest. He was at a healthy weight, dapples lining his frame in the fall as his body faintly arched seeing this creature that spoke of having fun with the word play. “No one comes out to play.” Came his deep voice, the words almost hissing from his lips as he set fire hot eyes upon this new creature. “You have entered the lagoon during a rough time of year. Why?” This was not his place to claim, but he was the only one stepping forward with this stranger.
