She was a creature of rage embodied as she tore through the ocean shallows and toward him. Adrenaline and excitement raced hot through his veins, and Kharin pinned his slender gold ears against his neck, lost in the long tangle of his white mane. He threw his head, white knees pulling up to his chest as he moved, having to actively fight the urge to turn and flee from her thunderous approach. Thus, Kharin managed to keep his back hooves planted where he�d been standing, but weaved his front end somewhat away from her approach.

He took the brunt of her bite. Though her teeth may have been blunt, when Kharin turned his neck away to keep any sensitive part of his face from being bit, the wrinkles in his gold skin over his neck made perfect purchase for her. Pain blossomed behind the hard pinch, and Kharin squealed loudly and indignantly, blue eyes rolling as the whites flashed. The spot was sure to bruise; he�d feel sore any time he stretched the skin she�d bit for days. Kharin kicked one white leg out toward her, but not directly at her, more of a warning for her to let him go than an actual intent to make any contact.

When she let him go (if she let him go), Kharin would retreat� but not very far. He might only trot enough paces to turn himself around so he could watch her and see what she would do next. He needed to show her that he respected her show of power, and while he didn�t intend to take over her territory, he wasn�t just some herd member either. Despite the adversity he faced against an older, larger, more skilled territory leader, Kharin was going to stand his ground and defend himself as best he could against every strike she dealt. He would not deal any offensive strikes in return, though if he had to hit or bite her to keep her from doing so to him, he would.
