Liquid of a red hue dripped steadily upon the ground. Long strands of red fur seemed to hang on by a thin thread almost as if they were not truely meant to be there anymore. Muscles quivered under broken skin as a beast of red blinking almost ice white colored eyes. Teeth of a blunt shape became bared as a horse of a rare breed in a sense stood at the edge of the ocean, glaring into the forest that was from where she came.

Quivering with her body stressed, a thickly built draft mare looked for the ones that had been following her. The ice white of her eyes almost rolled back to show the veins in her eyes as yellow eyes peered from the forest ahead of her. The ocean licked at her hocks and caressed her body, begging her torn up frame to jump into its depths and see where it would take her. The howling from in front of her had the mare almost begging to be stronger, but her body already bore the scars from what was going to be a horrible day once the sun fully set.

Standing on the beach, the red mare waited as the waves pulled and pushed against her. Large round hooves dug deeper into the sand before a screaming cry could be heard from within the trees of the oceans entrance. Standing on the sands here, she could almost hear the blood drip from her long fur as her body began to coil much like she had been trained. Adrenaline coursed through her blood and she wished that this would end, but the dark colored horse that came charging from what was once her home had the mare arching her neck before her front hooves left the ground with a heavy grunt from her lips.

Shoving through the sand, Titan pinned her ears and met the dark horse stride for stride. A loud scream could be heard from one of the horses while the other gave a pained squeal. The sound of thumping muscle had the ocean growing silent, but from dawn till dusk it seemed that the battle would not relent, until four hooves stood on the beach and red fur lay in piles ripped from her flesh. A black horse lay lifeless on the sand and soon enough, the red horse turned to the ocean and slipped into its grasp leaving her bawling family and herd behind.

That had been months ago. Now, the red creature was standing on a set of islands in a very horse scent heavy section. Her light eyes blink before she turns to face the ocean she had come out of. This place was different than her home, but her scar laden body quivered as she looked to the distance. Others might come and they might not, but for now the large red draft would stand there as her name whispered through her ears.

“Titan…..”
