Ghosts whisper in my ears.

Things were beginning to become different. Nahawi gained the boss position and he was thankful, but he had a gut feeling that not many of those in the lagoon were happy with him. Shaking his head, the stallion stood in the lagoon before he noticed someone was missing. Blinking his ever blue eyes, he scanned all the brothers before giving a deep sigh. The last time he had seen Isengrim it had not been on the best terms with the one trinket there. Now, he was hoping to speak with the other stallion and yet it seemed he was almost too late… or was he?

Striding from the lagoon and out towards an island, Nahawi landed at the ridge with his muscles aching. Swimming was not his best point in life and now he was slightly stuck dealing with it as the scent of a storm raged through his nostrils. His ears tucked to his head as he looked out over the beach before his gaze locked upon a horse on a rock. Gazing at the colorful horse, Nahawi slowly realized who it was and soon enough his hooves were gaining ground over the once water filled beach. The storm was strong and hopefully he would make it.

Heaving himself up rocks, Nahawi felt his hooves lose purchase time and time again as he begged the lord above to let his body make it to the black and white lagoon member. His eyes showed the whites as the sound of cracking thunder boomed behind him. Nahawi could handle most storms, but there was this odd feeling in his gut that begged him to save his brother, even if they both ran for Boss and the other lost. Many would gloat about winning, but this kind hearted horse could not get himself to do the same as his body finally found purchase on rocks behind Isengrim.

“I'm behind you.” He called, his voice gentle but loud enough to be herd before he gently aimed to faintly bump his lagoon brother's hip. “Keep going up. If you slip I will be here to aid you if you wish.” Boss or not, Nahawi would never let someone he was growing to see as a brother fall to their death. They might be bandless stallions, but family ties could be made anyways.
