Duck, Duck, Goose!

In all honesty, a mare like her should be distant and reserved. That had never been Duckie's nature though. Forgiving and sweet. She could be stubborn and knew how she didn't want to be treated in life though. That wasn't at the bottom of the food chain either. Duckie was a very social creature and enjoyed the company of others for sure. Life alone was no real life at all as far as she was concerned. No family of her own but then, that could so easily change if she met the right one. A family is something she had always wanted but it had never been hers to have to this point. Duckie really wasn't sure why honestly. Perhaps it was more her fault than that of another. Duckie had a knack for wandering at the most oddest of times.

It is time for that to change though. Settle down and have the family that she'd always dreamed of. She is no spring chicken but that didn't mean she couldn't still have a family. Now that she had all of that racing around out of her system and travelling. No more. A home and to stay. It sounded nice but what was in store for her of it in the future? Near or far? Perhaps more near than she truly realized. Which would be nice. It is the approach of another that draws her from her thoughts. A blue roan overo lad. Her eyes watch him as his movement are easy on approach. Her rich honey eyes take him in and ears swivel at the inquiry he'd brought to his lips.

A soft sound escaped her lips in the form of a greeting. Her movements are comfortable and without suspicion. Martyr had given the lass no reason to fear him or think she should turn tail and run. Not in these moments. Nor had the approach of the quieter obsidian lad. Eyes shifted to him slightly as she responded to Martyr. "Yes, it is beautiful. I find the sound of the thunderous roar comforting to me. I've always been drawn to the water. Whether it be fresh or salt. Though; I wouldn't recommend drinking the salty water." She laughs softly as she tried making short conversation. Not because she didn't want to talk but more because she wanted to make conversation. Hopefully she wasn't digging herself into a hole here though.

Duckie clears her throat and speaks again so that both were able to catch her words. "Hello to you as well there. I am Duckie." She murmurs with a warm smile. Those honey brown eyes are glimmering with enjoyment of having company here. Not one lad but two in one standing. How pleasant for she. Well, Duckie could hope anyway. "Who might the two of you be?" The way that they seemed drawn to the water appeased the painted lass. She adored water and to know others who did as well would be wonderous. Duckie thought so anyhow.
