Tyr had been drawing away from the Ridge members (not that he had been very social to begin with) and being reclusive from any that didn’t actively seek him out. Even his border patrols had become relaxed. Only doing one every few days instead of every single day. Some days, he wondered if he would simply drift away like a cloud in the sky. Aside from keeping those under his watch safe, Tyr didn’t know the point of anything else anymore.


The storm that had rumbled in, making the lead stallion draw his herd together to shelter, and the new Paradise ruler’s threat to his peace, had seemed to draw some life out of the once Lagoon Boss. He had been angry that an outsider had come for Oswin, or any of his herd, when they kept to themselves. It was one thing for Jigsaw, or any of the Lagoon stallions that might hold spite (or simply want to be a nuisance) to come calling. It was another for someone from his home Island.


Although he had run the shire mare off that dark, stormy night, it hadn’t been enough. Tyr wanted to drive the point further into the new leader’s head who to mess with, and who to not. Which was why he wasn’t walking home alone. He didn’t expect the gold and white mare to like being claimed like a pawn, since in all technicalities that is what she was. A reason to invade the draft mare’s home and beat her once again. Still, Tyr wasn’t cold, and once they had crossed the border into the Ridge, he paused to let his green-blue eyes look at her. “My name is Tyr.” he offered as an olive branch. “How did you come to live in Paradise?” The tall stallion asked, before carrying on their walk, although his ears were tipped towards her for her answer.
