Well. That certainly hadn't gone the way she'd thought it would. Granted, she hadn't been particularly hopeful that the rude red brute that had claimed her would turn out to be a Prince Charming, but she had, at least, assumed he would stick around long enough to learn a few things about her. Or at least pretend to care.
Instead, she'd lingered in "his" land for a while until someone else came to claim it, and then she'd taken off across the isles again, more than a little annoyed at how everything had turned out. It was bad enough to get abandoned by her best friend, and something else to be abandoned by some jerk who didn't even really know her.
In truth, it had soured the pragmatic little mare to the whole process to some degree, and it was with jaded eyes that she studied the Commons now, her dark lips pressed into a disagreeable frown. She hadn't thought it was too much to ask to find someone who would appreciate her the same way that her father had appreciated her mother. To find someone that would come to her and dote on her in the quiet moments, or better yet, to find someone who would treat her the same way Rougaru had treated Vanya or Monster.
To be loved above all others.
That, truly, was what she deserved, but Roux would have settled for less. Would have swallowed her pride and accepted a chance to belong and make friends, but even that had been taken from her. Huffing a small sigh, the lithe silver-bay shifted on her dark hooves and then lifted her head to call out for company. Frey had come upon her unaware last time. She would not allow anyone to do so again.
