I tell ya boys, life here in a retirement trailer park is pretty exciting at times. Yesterday morning the Timberlane Ladies Vigilante Committee came and got me, turns out an 82 year old woman was trapped in her recliner and her 93 year old husband couldn't get down on the floor to fix it. He could have but then he wouldn't be able to get back up! LOL!
Turns out she was upset with her spouse and jumped into her electric recliner the night before but was too mad to wait for the motor to put it all the way back. When she forced it back the plug from the wall became disconnected from under the chair. She couldn't get the chair to come back down. Apparently she didn't have the strength to roll her fat a** out of the chair so she was stuck there like a beached whale!
Her husband had gone to bed and she was still mad at him so she ended up spending the night in the recliner finally telling him the next morning she was stuck and needed help. He handed her the phone and she called one of her cronies....
Old people... whatta gonna do?
I have to go over, grab a flashlight, get down on my belly and find the connection under the chair. Took about 2 seconds and I was a hero!
The good news is I helped somebody, became an instant legend. The bad news is now every single time something goes wrong here the old biddies now have my name on their refrigerators!
I'm not complaining, glad to help but it strikes me funny. Someday I'll be in that recliner, a lot sooner than I'd like to admit! Dooooah! Replies:
