This has been going on for twenty years...the nice ones all left, understandably. That's why they left. One guy who got trashed in here for a long time, a big black sports guy Jason WHitlock, has been a national personality for years on the networks. I just saw him on TV the other day. Its amazing what two or three hateful guys can do to a discussion room.
Thats easily solved on Facebook if ya get a political troll. If most people block him, he can't see any of the best writers and so he just wanders off. This one doesn't have an active admin to get rid of the fatshamers, etc.
3 other nearby communities, the founding one in St Louis, the MidKansas and MidMissouri boards got shut down, apparently because THEIR administrators didn't wanna stick with it either.
I think it has to do with radio being a cousin to theater, and well, we know about theater people. Some are just difficult. I'm amazed some of my favorite actors get blacklisted in Hollywood for getting too big for their britches with all their drama. The gossip columns eat em alive every now and then.
I just watched a series on Netflix abt the Royals...it was pretty disappointing because the writers trashed pretty much all of Britain's Windsors as being narrow minded, stuffy, and vain. I'm surprised King Charles has any support at all. I used to be a fan. Replies:
