It looks to me like Benetrix is incorrectly heading straight towards Zugaitz's back...

I think that if you imagined an overhead view, with x / y coordinates, or squares like a chessboard, that a plot made from the point where Benetrix changed from heading backcourt to going forward, to the point where he would have been able to catch the pelota, is actually a straight line. So he was heading directly to that position.

IOW, if Zugaitz had not been directly in his path, he could have had a good chance to make the play.

FWIW, this is based on viewing in a video editor with frame by frame capability.

My imaginary coords would be (8.75, 4.5) and (7.2, 1) where the y would be 1 - 10 subdivision of the court width. Overkill approach, but LOL, why not?
