Competition began in November, top 2 divisions included 82 matches, all 5 divisions included 243 matches. Links to full match videos for top 2 divisions, links to all scores of all matches in both divisions.
Explanation of Joko Garbi, which was what Jai Alai was before 1887 (link to that story also). It is played on a short court, with a slightly different cesta that demands catching and throwing in one motion, no holding, not 2 step wind up and throw. Only when the cesta was modified did the sport eventually, in early 20th Century, evolve into Jai Alai. Joko Garbi is fantastic stuff, in my opinion. mostly played in Iparralde (North Basque Country--France) these days, and is an amateur sport. But quite popular.
I have also included the finals of A and B for 2021-2 and 2019-20, so 6 full match videos altogether. Provider is Kanaldude Telebista, hard core Basque streamer, which is unusual to find in Iparralde. I hope you enjoy this look into Jai Alai's beginnings.
