Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

what's a king
to a god?

It did not bode well that Nahawi was unwilling to leave the Lagoon, though he was probably not incorrect in his assumptions that a mutiny was possible. However, Rehoboam had lasted through many seasons as one of the Lagoon's number, and had grown accustomed to their general apathy. Unless one of the other men stepped forward and took charge to lead it, Reh doubted the men would be organized enough to attempt anything. What was more likely was that their grumblings would continue to grow and build until enough resentment had been built up prior to the election that they could oust Nahawi from his position.

Hearing that Nahawi planned to try and run again was heartening, but saying something and doing it had always been two different things. The tobiano frowned, uncertain how the younger dun would have any idea what the other leaders thought of the Lagoon if he hadn't spent much time outside of his borders, but opted to leave it alone for now. It was not a wrong assumption. Rehoboam vividly remembered the way Rafe had greeted him on the shores of the Badlands.

"Tyr is not most." The tobiano said drily, a frown ghosting across his lips. Most leaders had not lived and breathed in the Lagoon, had not led and bled for them. If anyone was going to understand Nahawi's plan, it would be the golden stallion of the Ridge. With that said, the tobiano turned away from the red dun to let him mull over his thoughts. Only time would tell if the young Boss would prove worthy.
