Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

are there limits to any emptiness?

It was the silver-haired stallion who’d come for him in the Prairie that was the first to cross his path. Leukos’s ears, one white, one black, turned briefly back as the larger stallion invaded his space close enough to put his lips on Leukos’s shoulder. An offended snort pushed hard out of his nostrils as he side-stepped to pull himself away, then a small squeal after the pinch of the Lagoon bachelor’s flat teeth against the curve of his muscle; the air felt cooler where it touched the damp spot the stallion had left on his shoulder. Leukos tossed his head, sending his thick white mane from one side of his neck to the other.

“Gorgeous?” Leukos asked and laughed, almost a little awkwardly, looking a bit puzzled at the bachelor, “You sure know how to flatter a guy, huh?” Leukos was unused to flirting (with any gender) and felt immediately a bit flustered.

“New home?” He echoed somewhat dumbly, frowning as he met the other stallion’s gaze, looking for answers. It only took a few seconds for everything to click in place from the nip to his shoulder to what the Lagoon bachelor said. Leukos offered another awkward laugh, pulling a small step back and away. “I think you’re a bit confused, I just came to see why you were trying to bring me here, I hadn’t decided to stay yet.” He wasn’t sure why he was trying to explain himself and stick to his decision to be the one who made up his mind - something told Leukos it wasn’t going to matter; this bachelor had clearly decided Leukos’s place was here in the Lagoon, and he’d been naive enough to deliver himself right to the man’s doorstep. He swallowed back at the guilt that rose in his throat, feeling his grandsire was going to be upset once he’d learned what Leukos had caused.
