Congrats on a great career Arrieta. Back in December I got the chance to fly down from NC and bring my girlfriend’s 10 year old son to see jai-alai for the first time. After watching some games he said #56 was his favorite player….Argoitia. Then I told him that he was only 16 years old and was related to you. Then we did a picture of him giving a high five to “you” with that life size cardboard cut out that is at the entrance to the fronton. He thought that was really cool. One thing on Argoitia I’ve noticed….he wears what looks like an old school World Jai Alai helmet. If I had to guess, I’d say that might even be one that was used by Javier (his grandfather I believe) from back in the day. Do you know if that is the case? I had the pleasure of being the ballboy many years ago when the Tampa roster played a summer season at Ocala, and Javier was the best backcourter on the roster. Replies:
