VOICE OF THE PEOPLE.

It was not that Snapdragon was kinder that made her believe she was a better leader than Siren. It was the heart she wore with broken cracks all along its edges and the arrow stuck in the center that had the young mare knowing she could do far better than the past lead. She was strong, but was smart, but she was also willing to learn whatever anyone in her territory asked her to. Snapdragon would not go out and pick fights with horses like Tyr and Mariael just to stir up trouble and then run when she got the short stick against the others. Snapdragon might pick some fights of course, but she would not run away because members were taken and she had a warrant out for her arrest. That was not Snapdragon… That was not who she would ever be.

“She certainly was a coward.” Snapdragon was not afraid of saying that about Siren. Snapdragon had her own thoughts that roared through her mind and wished to be spewed upon the ground about that mare, but she kept the worst of the words tucked away in a little box that would never be opened. Snapdragon had her own life to live and letting anger to someone else rule her life would never be a good stepping stone to building this home up from the bare bones Siren left it at.

Listening some more, Snapdragon gave a faint grin and blinked her sparkling eyes. “Your family, I bet taught you some good stuff for life.” Came her reply, her tail lazily flicking at her hocks once she got herself more mellow. She herself did not have really a rough upbringing, but being a piece of property in the Lagoon had not really been good either. There were times in her past that she had to hide from the members of that place and wait for someone to pass by before she could leave her hiding spot and go back to her mother. Now? Now Snap herself made the rules and she was no longer willing to hide when someone came at her throat. She would do whatever it took to protect her home and those that lived here.

Tilting her head, Snapdragon thought of the last question Roux said. “I think you would be a good friend if not a great one because you would certainly not be afraid to whack me if I step in the wrong direction for our home.” It was not wise for a horse to speak like that about themselves, but Snapdragon did not really have anything to hide. Roux, with her being so… straight to the point was not a mare to sugar coat things and Snapdragon knew that was a quality she would want from her friends.
