Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

NAHAWI
stallion | 16.2hhs | red dun | of the lagoon

DEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO TRUTH.

Standing there and listening, Nahawi took in everything Rehoboam had said with his body trying to relax. He was terrified of leaving his daughter anywhere but with him. It took a lot of strength from him to even consider leaving his daughter somewhere else, but her wellbeing was far more important than the feelings he had on keeping her. Amarinora deserved to be well taken care of and to build the life she would want, no matter where she was. Voyager would make sure she stayed out of trouble for the most part and he just hoped that if he left her there, that she would not make the leader Bacardi second guess ever helping him. In his mind, it was finally fully settled and it made his heart start to break, small cracks beginning to line the half hopeful and half black heart in his chest.

Nahawi had heard a lot from Rehoboam, but he really was not sure what to say. So instead, the stallion slowly reached out his head and offered a brotherly touch if Rehoboam would ever accept it. He was unsure if the older stallion would, but Nahawi would offer it anyway with just who he was as a horse. He liked to care for others, not hate them. In all reality, no matter what he does in the future with his grief, Nahawi will always be the good guy stuck between a rock and a hard place. He would try to stay good, but at times good came with a sword's edge and he might have to dangle on the bad side in order to get his point across to those around him.

“I will have to take her to the forest then.” Nahawi finally spoke, his body already feeling the ache in his chest. He knew it was for the best and he knew it would hurt, but he had to do the right thing for his daughter. Watching Rehoboam rock onto his hinds though, Nahawi laughed at his words. “Fatherhood is a murky place to be… specially in a place like this.” Nahawi was jealous of the other stallions that got to raise their foals and watch them grow. Once Amarinora was in the Forest… he knew he would never see her again until she decided to come search for him.
