PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

OOC: Very brief mention of suicidal thoughts

For a long moment, there is no answer, only the stern mountain to stare down at her in silence, judging her for her past crimes. Her resolve wavers in the waiting, and though she tried not to show it (lest there be hidden waters in the woods), she could feel her skin twitching with the unease that made her pulse pound in her ears.

Eventually, there is a distant sound of approach, a pause, and then a nicker that breaks the quiet. It is unfamiliar to her, but that is not surprising. Her only true friend here in the Peak had chosen a different life in the end, and everyone else that remained was little more than strangers to her. It was one of the many things Roisin considered a part of her personal failings as the Prime Minister; she'd been too caught up in her mission of giving the Lagoon the chance to redeem themselves to devote the amount of focus needed to her sisters. Not that they'd made it easy for her, either. They'd been reclusive and distant and quiet - much the same as they seemed to be now, even with the elections only a season away.

Of course, except for the one mare that stepped from the greenery to greet her.

Of all of the horses that she had expected to encounter, Khar'pern was the one she looked forward to the least, even though it was Roisin's own vote that had secured the gray mare's spot as the Prime Minister initially. Hearing the resounding silence as not a single one of her sisters cast their vote had been utterly demoralizing. The final nail in a coffin of her own making, and very nearly her 13th reason.

"Khar'pern," she greeted stiffly, her shoulders square. She had meant to meet the Prime Minister firmly, unyielding as the stone of the Ridge's mountain, but the sight of the young girl clinging to the Prime Minister's hip softened her resolve and she swallowed hard, especially as the gray named her as one of her own, as if Roisin had never left. "I don't know what I am," she confessed, her mismatched eyes stormy. "To be honest, I'm not sure why I came back." Her brow furrowed and her gaze dipped away from the pair to scan the empty cliffs. "It seems as empty here as it was before."
