Hey everyone! We are happy to announce another posting contest. If you're interested in the chance to receive rewards for your activity, you should consider joining in!
The basic idea is that you get points for every post you write, and the players that have the most points by the end will win prizes.
RULES
1. Every in-character post is worth 1 point as long as it is at least 200 words long (note-style posts do not count).
2. A completed roleplayed battle is worth 2 points, regardless of the outcome. This includes practice/bragging rights battles, but the battle must be completed and cannot be cancelled or forfeited at any point. Dice roll battles do not count for any points.
3. Every valid raid and escape attempt (regardless of the outcome) is worth 5 points for everyone involved, from the point it is initiated, up to and including the block. This is for the raid as a whole, rather than for each individual post. Any reaction post that follows the block is worth the usual 1 point. Please be sure you follow all relevant rules regarding raids and escapes, such as clearly stating "raid" or "escape" in your subject line, meeting the minimum number of words, and avoiding post comings until after the raid/escape has been either blocked or successful. Any raids and escapes that do not follow these rules will not be valid and will receive no extra points other than the typical 1-per-post.
4. To participate, simply reply to this thread and tally up your posts and points over the next week. Make sure that: 1) you provide a link to each post as evidence so that we can check the totals are correct before we announce the winners; and 2) that you password protect your post so that you can update it as you go.
PRIZES
The winners of the contest (first, second, and third place) will each win a perk of their choice. These perks cover just about every aspect of the game, and include advantages in battles and raids, protecting your territories, and in customizing any future foals just the way you want them. We will provide the full list of available prizes when we announce the winners. Those who win the prizes will have them permanently listed on the legends page for future reference; these are struck through once they have been used.
We have also decided to include a raffle for fourth place, meaning simply participating will enter you into the chance to win a perk! The fourth place winner will be drawn when the others are announced, and will pick their perk once the others have.
This contest will run for a week's time, starting now and running until midnight (board time) on 8th February 2024. Any posts written after that point will not count toward the contest. Please be sure you have all your posts tallied up and links listed before then so there are no delays.
