After an incredible 2024 Grammys, so far this morning I've seen grown adults (including many in the music industry) with the following takes on social media:
- Taylor Swift is bad for announcing her new album at the Grammys
- Taylor Swift is bad for appearing surprised when she won
- Taylor Swift is bad for walking in while Trevor Noah was talking
- Taylor Swift is bad for not saying something about Celine Dion
- Taylor Swift is bad for standing during (pick a performance)
- Taylor Swift is bad for winning Album of the Year
- Taylor Swift is bad for being on camera too much
- Taylor Swift is bad for joking with Jack Antonoff when the camera was on him
...
Every time I'm asked "How did you get syndicated?" or "How did you make it in radio?" my reply is always the same:
I simply stopped saying anything negative about others, including celebrities. A small adjustment that completely changed the trajectory of my career. That's my only secret. Replies: There have been no replies.
