every villain has a backstory;

there are no heroes
in life, the monsters win

She definitely didn't seem pleased, but Asmodeus told himself that he didn't mind. It wasn't like he had any designs on doing anything terrible to her, apart from forcing her to go to the Desert. She wouldn't be harmed there, and could ignore Asmodeus from then on out if she wished.

She, however, didn't seem to care for his master plan. He dug in with saucer-like hooves and attempted to shove her inch by hard won inch toward the ocean when she suddenly jolted forward. The absence of her weight against his shoulder made him stumble slightly, giving her enough space to dart out of reach of his teeth as she made her way for the beach. He grunted as he found his footing again, more annoyed than anything, and took off after her again.

This small amount of distance between them allowed him a fraction of a second of lead time as she took her abrupt turn, and he was able to complete it almost as neatly, although he did lose more time in the turn. Enough time, in fact, to allow his sister - of all the damnable souls on this forsaken island - to shove her nose where it didn't belong. He wanted to run through her, to just keep running ahead without care for her wellbeing, but her interference drew him up short and he raised into a half-rear and lashed out at the air. With Ash in the way, there was no way he was going to be able to run down the uncooperative red mare, and bully her back to the Desert.

"It's none of your damn business, Ash." He grumbled as he landed, his dark eyes following the mares progress as she (presumably) kept running. The urge to keep chasing her just to prove a point was strong but he tossed his head and turned away, ears pinned tightly to the nape of his neck in frustration. Maybe he'd find her later. Maybe he'd try something else, he didn't know. His gaze flicked from the red mare back to his twin again with a sneer on his lips. "Go back to whatever hole you were hiding in and leave me alone."
