Standing there with her ears perked, Axelle got a light to her eyes that was not there before. The Peak? That place sounded so cool and it had her trembling hooves moving a bit farther forward in front of her brother as she nodded her head as quickly as she could. “Please!” She spoke, her voice broken with hope but also fear. She did not like that her brother would be confined, but she knew she would go speak with him and hang out with him anyways. Octavius was her world, her brother, her best friend. He meant everything to a world that was burning around them.
Hearing her brother, Axelle gave him a pained smile before turning to face Asheroth again. “I… I can't fight or anything so I hope that just living there will be good enough.” Axelle was weak, had been since the day she was born and did not want to lie to anyone about her weakness. She was good with foals, could handle babysitting if that was what they wanted of her. She would earn her keep somehow, she just knew it in her heart that this Peak Asheroth spoke of had to be her home.
“I will do anything needed to be there Asheroth. I am good with foals and keeping myself out of trouble.” Axelle was excellent at both of those and she smiled when she said them. “If the Peak is all mares that are as strong as you seem, then I know I will be safe and Octavius will be in a place just as safe. The sisters might not be accommodating to stallions, but Octavius will keep himself out of trouble.” Stopping her words, Axelle coughed and shook her head finally. She had spoken too much and now her body trembled in pain which caused Octavius to sidle up beside her and help her calm the rising fear in her heart.
