Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Silence speaks more than your lies.

The Lagoon muck and mire mixed with the summer heat was bringing a foul odor towards Launch and her nostrils faintly pinched together as she waited for the breeze to change directions. Her breath was shallow, trying to avoid the stench, but after a while she was forced to bring in the smell of a Lagoon swamp and she hated it. Her dark eyes were sad, but she watched her child who faintly flinched at the stallions returning nip in her direction. Launch knew she should probably stop her child, but she was so weary and she felt it in her bones. Huntsman was a strong willed child and it would take more than just her to teach the young one of what not to do.

Perking her ears though, Launch looked back to Rehoboam as he talked of Snapdragon. Most did not know her luckily considering who her sire was, which was a good thing. Many knew of Vadim from word on the wind of what her leader had went through trying to track him over the islands. Snapdragon was usually silent about that, but she did spend time with Launch a few mornings a month and it created a faint bond and gave reason for Snapdragon to be so angry. Her island was so low on battle experienced leaders that it begged the question on if they would survive without all the herd members being taken away before they were high enough on the totem pole to handle others out there.

“Her sire is Vadim. Nahawi sent her on a mission to reach out to Tyr in order for aid as he was not willing to leave the Lagoon at the time.” Launch knew that much, but her leader did not leave Paradise much herself now and it made the large mare wonder if that was part of the reason their numbers were still so low. With foals coming though, maybe that would help? Shaking her head at her internal thoughts, the bay tilted her head and sighed as her child went to nip at the stallion again. “Huntsman!” She spoke, her voice holding that motherly tone of ‘do not mess with me’ and it had the foal stopping for a moment. “She will bite you again Sir. Maybe you should take a gentle nip back and see if that will help.” Launch sighed then, her daughter aiming to do just as Launch had predicted.
