I caught the tail end of a national broadcast but I missed it. I had that obvious question too, mostly because the police had said the first day it was something going on between two people. I would have thought you radio types on Gateway would be all over it, and in fact it would have developed here before the newshounds put it on the air.
But we all know this room speaks fromt he grave, nobody in here's in radio anymore and if there are any, they're not insiders and what they know about the bidness, they get from reading the trades. There's always been that group.
Insiders who really know things don't share with newbys. Why? Because closely guarded secrets are the only things they have on the new kids. Thats true in lots of industries Ive been associated with after I was out of the media...and in many respects, corporate workers are the same everywhere, no matter the occupation.
I was too lazy to get on the TV websites to find out the public story today.
How Ironic my first comment while it was underway and I happened to catch something abt the shooting on MSNBC, I got on here, asking if anybody in radio broke in, or had the ability to break in (well of coruse BZ would have or anybody doing a remote.
My post got deleted, so its clear some half asser in here does have moderator powers, he just doesn't follow the page's long held but never inforced rules.
I was struck tho with the irony of expecting no one in radio broke in, to discover someone of your colleagues was the fatal victim.
No consoling those at kkfi, but my sympathies and hopes the pain becomes bearable. rm
