I don't think there was any "arrogance." I saw the replay, and I must say, there is not a single person who can't disagree with the fact that Carballo was a complete asshole in how he acted after the threw that shot. Any other players would have run up and made sure their opponent was okay. Not him. Instead, Carballo just turned around nonchalantly walked back to serve the next point.
Even Stu would probably agree, that was asshole move.
I must say that I've not watched MC in a long time, but I used to watch and wager before the games were moved to daytime, if I recall it right, and a certain situation occurred that turned me off forever, so I stopped wagering I guess about 3 years ago.
I will say, I have never watched the night partido version series until reading about this point. So I watched some off the replay before and after. CLEARLY the players are a lot better...nothing like I used to see a few years back. So that's nice to see. But, MC has also recruited more top players to improve the product, so it seems. Also nice to see that as well.
But I will say, I always remembered Carballo as a player who is SO talented, catches great off both sides, has all the shots, but is STILL SO incredibly aggravating and frustrating to watch. Nobody beats him; he simply beats himself. He's greedy, plays out of position kill shots and looks like he still has no control. So talented; so out of control. He hasn't changed a bit from when I used to watch him. Shame, because he is good. If he would learn some control, I bet he'd be tops in the field. That's my take, anyway. Replies:
