Traditional Partido Betting?

Now that we are getting exposure to partido betting here, where we often see a heavy fave that will pay $2.20 or even $2.10, I have to wonder about how the betting went over the years in Basque land.

Has that kind of bet been the norm traditionally? Do people get enthused by partido win betting?

At least with a spread you can get even money less the vig if you win. But risk $100 to make $5 or $10?

Any thoughts?
