VOICE OF THE PEOPLE.

Silence rang through the land of Paradise like a broken heart. The large space protected on almost two full sides was growing dormant in its nature and had a pale mare by the name of Snapdragon restless. Her blue eyes gleamed under the silver light of the full moon. The sharpness of her gaze was like a dual edged sword begging for someone's throat to be in reach. Her muscles flexed under the colder summer night with each powerful step she took. The forest of jungle trees was silent, but her movements rivaled the unsteady calm.

Shaking her pale head, the dunskin pantaloosa mare lifted her large hooves. Calm steps faintly rang out for a breath of a moment before they were once again silenced by the squishy ground below her hooves. A heavy rain had come and gone over the past week and now the land was almost like a room filled with noise canceling foam. Nothing made a lick of sound and it had the pale mare worried, but as her hooves hit the ground, the hairs in the back of her neck and spine stood on end as doom began to loom up ahead.

Blinking her pale eyes, Snapdragon stopped all forward movement and perked her ears forward. Sections of her trail were highlighted in silver thanks to the moon, but where she stood and looked on at was ensnared by darkness. The lingering scent of Lagoon had her instantly on edge and when red eyes blinked in the shadows, Snapdragons body trembled. She knew those eyes… had heard a tale from Siren about who owned such lava-like orbs that matched the fire of Sirens own.

Holding in a breath, Snapdragon was about to call her strongest member forward when the darkness moved and a scream cried out in the night. Over the Shore border Nahawi heard the pale mares scream and he himself jerked to attention when the cry of war echoed after Snapdragons blood curdling screech.
