merald eyes meet her golden gaze, concern and confusion furrows her brow as she considers his words. Yes, she had found herself in the only place in the Isles that she could be forced away to the Lagoon. He draws his ears forward and catches the sweet melody of her voice. He can not ignore the twisting in his own gut. He has warned his own sister so many times of the darkness that lurks beneath the surface - warned her of the lagoon and their abuses. Why had none warned this pretty girl? His own brows furrow as he tries to puzzle through how some were just left to their own fates. He shakes out his tangled cream colored mane and stomps his feathered hoof as he begins to form the same warnings he had told his youngest sister.
"Its beauty hides the reality that this place is where the Lagoon, Peak and other land leaders can lay claim to you." his gaze follows hers, not to admire the land but to keep a watchful gaze on the shadows. "My mother had ended up in the Lagoon for a time when I was a young colt," his brows furrow deeper as he thinks of that dark time.
Gavriel shifts his weight uncomfortably hoof to hoof as he thinks of all that he has gone through to protect his mother and sisters. "They are cruel," he growls as he turns his gaze from the girl to the distant tree tops as he tries to gather his composure. Who would steal away a mother from their child? (He of course didn't understand the situation as a child and that she had volunteered to go in another's place.)
"Sorry," he grumbles as his gaze returns to hers. He clears his throat and shakes out his tangled cream mane. "I am Gavriel, of the Luthien Thicket, I just get worked up when it comes to the Lagoon," he admits with a nod.
"What brings you to the Commons today?"
