The typical ritual of stallions staking their claim; Mephit had seen it before, and endured it herself. It was simply the way of things in their world. Mephit, however, was not so easy to follow just anyone. She was difficult, obstinate, and typically found enjoyment to be such. She had been independent for the majority of her life, having been the bane of any authority figure she had encountered thus far. Her pretty looks only garnered interest and and patience for so long.

She watches the red dun stallion, boyish behaviors overtaking his attempts at smooth-talking his way through the encounter. The giddiness, the glee, the way he looked at her; she smirked, basking in the flattery, only absorbing it at surface value - her heart did not flutter, she did not swoon.

The silver buckskin mare utters a chilling chuckle, and begins walking slowly around around him, circling with no intention to stop. She eyes him the entire time, head lowered slightly to where her chin aligns with her chest.

“Careful now, Nahawi.” her impish voice purrs.“The prettiest things are often the most dangerous, don’t you know?” She glances at the sky as she continues to circle, her breath manifesting as vapors in the cold chill while she takes notice of it slow transition to hues of red. She had not realized the afternoon had passed so quickly.

“Red sky at night, Mephit’s delight.” her tone endlessly mischievous.A seemingly random statement, but she was curious if he would pick up on her name delivery. Typical Mephit; difficult for her own entertainment.
