Snapdragon

Mare | 15.2hhs | Dunskin Pintaloosa | Crown of Paradise

VOICE OF THE PEOPLE.

Fall was in full swing, but Snapdragon cared not. Her mind was locked on the starting of the season, her heart having grown warmer with her memories of her and Finley. He was rough around the edges, but the mare cared for him far deeper than she cared for any other. She dared not call it love just yet, but anyone with the knowledge to see how happy she was would see it. She was excited every time she saw him, her heart thudding harder in her chest every time he came near. Her breath would grow shallow as she grew with excitement and her body would almost always lean into him. It was an odd thing, but the mare dared not call it love just yet.

Padding through the dense jungle of Paradise, Snapdragon weaved her way down a trail as her heart raced in her chest. She was off on a mission, one that she had already called Finley for. She had neighed a while back, her voice searching for the dark stallion before she began her careful quest down the path. Fall was almost over, the season turning colder with winter. She knew, just a while back, that she was in foal. She had been growing more hungry and rude, her body searching for things it used to never want. She had gained knowledge and was excited to bring life of her own into Paradise, but she was worried something would happen and lead to her losing a Paradise foal.

Humming under her breath and hoping to lose her fear as she rounded a bend and hopped over a large log, the same one Siren had paved through when she took over Paradise. It was how Snapdragon knew she was in the Sanctuary and with that knowledge, she sent another call towards Sarira. She was hoping to do something special, but she wanted to talk to Finley and the Priestess about it before she went through with it. Snapdragon wanted their union to be blessed and the foal in her womb. She did not think that Sarira was that kind of Priestess, but it never really bothered her. Sarira was important here and she would take anything she could from the mare that held this part as her home.

”I… I hope I am doing the right thing…”
