Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I want your heart on a platter

Oh, you want battle?
I'll give you war.

Judging off of appearances alone, we weren't that different in age, although it would certainly seem that the larger stallion had hit the ground running regards to causing trouble. Where I had taken my time to adjust to the swamp my sire had so rudely dumped me into, the sabino seems to have been born of this mud and mire, navigating it and it's politics with an intrigue I was ill-prepared to match.

As I voiced my request, he seemed to pause and contemplate his answer, though I took some reassurance from the look in his bright green eyes. When he agreed to take me with, I didn't bother hiding the wicked smile that cracked across my lips, nor the eager swish of my dark brown tail. "Deal," I answered with a chuckle, my own eyes alight with the possibilities. Soon, I imagined, I would be just as scarred and impressive as the huge stallion before me and then I wouldn't have to work so hard to command the same amount of space he did.

"I'm Khyber," I replied with a nod of my head. It wasn't exactly deference, but it wasn't exactly not either. I was still figuring out the ranks of the Lagoon and I wasn't really sure where I fell in amongst my brothers, let alone with the man before me. With elections looming and the tension in the Lagoon already growing to a crescendo, I knew it was only a matter of time before things erupted once more. "Were you born here? You seem like you know a lot about the Lagoon already."
